The classification of this plant, along with almost all other 'Echinodorus' grown in the aquarium hobby, has recently been revised - these plants now belong to the new 'Aquarius' genus.

Aquarius cordifolius 'Marble Queen', commonly known as Echinodorus Marble Queen, is a beautiful aquarium plant and one of the most popular cultivars of Aquarius. It is named after the attractive marbled variegation on the emerse form of its leaves, with shades of green and creamy white. Under moderate lighting, the submersed form of this plant generally grows light lime-green leaves. The plant has broad, oval-shaped leaves that can grow up to 30cm in length, making it an excellent choice for large aquariums.

Echinodorus Marble Queen is a hardy species that can tolerate a wide range of water conditions. It prefers slightly acidic to neutral water, with a pH range of 6.5 to 7.5.
